Meet the Torrance Team Behind Mason Remodeling Co Torrance
Our Torrance crew has been remodeling homes in the South Bay since 2004, and we’ve kept the same core philosophy that entire time: show up on time, do the work right, and treat your house like people live in it. No one on our team is a subcontractor we’ve never met. Every person who walks through your door works under the Threshold Standard, which means background-checked, identity-verified, and introduced to you by name and photo before they ever ring the bell. We’re a small enough crew that you’ll see the same faces from demo day to final walkthrough.

Our People

Miguel R. – Lead Technician, 14 Years with Mason Remodeling
Miguel has been setting tile in Torrance homes long enough that he can tell you which 1950s bathroom layouts hide plumbing surprises behind the vanity before he opens the wall. He started in general framing and moved into full bathroom remodels around 2010, and he’s the guy who catches the small stuff, like a subfloor that needs another screw pattern or a shower pan slope that’s off by an eighth of an inch. His specialty is Schluter systems, the orange waterproofing membrane you’ll see on every wet-area wall we build. Miguel grew up in Gardena and still insists on grabbing lunch at the same taco truck on Western Avenue twice a week.
Dana K. – Senior Installer, 9 Years with Mason Remodeling
Dana handles cabinet installation, trim work, and the finish carpentry that makes a kitchen look like it was built for the house, not dropped into it. She’s certified on KraftMaid and Wellborn cabinet lines and has a thing about door reveals being perfectly even, which sounds obsessive until you see the difference between a rushed install and one of hers. Before Mason, Dana ran her own handyman service in Lomita, then joined us in 2015 because she wanted bigger projects and a steadier crew. She keeps a photo album on her phone of every finished kitchen she’s built for us, and she’ll show you if you ask.
Chris T. – Service Coordinator, 7 Years with Mason Remodeling
Chris is usually the first voice you hear when you call (424) 337-6939. He’s the one walking you through the written price before work starts, scheduling the crew, and making sure your questions get answered the same day rather than vanishing into a voicemail box. Before joining Mason, Chris worked in construction supply in Carson, so he knows lead times on Cambria slabs and Kohler fixtures better than most people know their own commute. He’s also the reason you’ll get a photo of your technician before they arrive, because he’s the one who sends it. Chris lives in North Torrance with two rescue dogs and an unreasonable amount of grilling equipment.
Aaron P. – Apprentice, 2 Years with Mason Remodeling
Aaron joined us at 22 after two years in a pre-apprenticeship program at Harbor College, and he’s been learning under Miguel and Dana since day one. He does the unglamorous work that matters, like taping for dust control, hauling debris, and prepping surfaces, and he’s already running his own small trim jobs under supervision. You’ll see him on most Torrance jobs carrying a notebook he uses to write down questions after every install. He grew up in Redondo Beach and is the reason our job radios stay set to the same station all day.
One Standard, Every Job
Every Mason Remodeling location operates under the Threshold Standard, and our Torrance crew treats that as the floor, not the ceiling. Every technician is background-checked and identity-verified. You get a name and photo before the visit, and the person at your door shows a photo ID badge in a clean, marked uniform. Before any work begins, you get a written price, on paper, not a verbal number that drifts by the time the final invoice arrives. When the work is done, you get a written guarantee with the terms spelled out plainly, including what’s covered, what’s excluded, and for how long: 365 days from the completion date. If a repair or installation fails inside that year, we return and make it right at no charge, no dispute process, no conditions. A live person answers the phone around the clock, every day of the year, including weekends and holidays. Isaac Pruett signs every guarantee personally, because after more than 20 years of running crews in the South Bay, his name on a piece of paper still means something to him.
