Jerith Fence Installation: The Torrance Owner’s Guide
Jerith fence installation in Torrance typically runs $3,500 to $9,000 installed, depending on linear footage, gate hardware, and whether we’re replacing an existing run or starting fresh. We stock Jerith-compatible posts, panels, and gate components on our trucks, and most straight runs go in within two to three working days. Most Torrance homeowners call us after a windstorm snapped a post at ground level, or after years of sprinkler overspray ate through the aluminum at the base. You’ll usually see the failure before you feel it: a panel leaning, a gate dragging, or a post that wiggles when you push it.
Jerith builds residential aluminum fencing, and the Torrance climate treats it better than most materials. Salt air from the coast, hard water from irrigation systems, and the alkaline soil common to South Bay neighborhoods all work on the posts and fasteners over time. What starts as a cosmetic scuff turns into structural weakness faster than most owners expect.
Which Jerith Models This Applies To

Jerith’s residential aluminum lines include the Estate, Kingston, Summit, and Windsor series, plus their commercial-grade industrial panels. The compatibility gotcha with Jerith is that rail brackets and post caps are not universal across series. A Kingston post cap will not seat properly on a Summit post. If you don’t have the original paperwork, look for a stamped code on the inside of the post or on the underside of the top rail. Most Jerith panels also have a distinctive punch pattern: Estate uses a flat spear-top picket, Summit uses a pressed spear, and Windsor uses a rounded picket. Match the picket profile and the post dimension, and you’ve identified the right part.
We install both OEM Jerith components and quality aftermarket equivalents. For visible parts like pickets and caps, OEM matters because the powder-coat texture and color (Heritage Bronze, Classic Black, and Hartford Green are the common Torrance stock colors) need to match the existing run. For buried components like post anchors and concrete collars, a quality aftermarket match is usually fine and can save money. We’ll show you the difference in writing before any work starts.
Mason Remodeling Co Torrance is an independent contractor. We are not affiliated with Jerith, and we install both OEM and compatible aftermarket parts.

Signs Your Jerith Fence Installation Is Failing
- Post lean at the base. The post was set too shallow originally, or the concrete collar has cracked from soil movement. In Torrance’s clay-heavy soil, this is the most common failure we see after five to eight years.
- Gate drag or sag. The hinge posts were not set deep enough to carry the gate weight, or the gate hardware has wallowed out the aluminum. Jerith gates are light, but the hardware takes real abuse.
- White powder or pitting at the post base. Galvanic corrosion from sprinkler water or salt air. Once it starts, the post thins from the inside and eventually snaps at grade.
- Loose or missing rail brackets. Jerith’s aluminum brackets corrode faster than the rails themselves. A missing bracket lets the panel flex in the wind until the rail distorts.
- Rattling or buzzing panels during Santa Ana winds. Fasteners have loosened, or a bracket has failed out of sight. The panel is flexing, and aluminum work-hardens with repeated flexing until it cracks.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

A full Jerith fence installation in Torrance runs $3,500 to $9,000. The range depends on linear footage, gate count, demolition of the old fence, and whether we need to core through concrete along a patio or driveway edge. A straightforward 100-foot run with one gate usually lands around $4,500 to $5,500. A larger yard with multiple gates, difficult access, or existing concrete that has to be cut will push toward the upper end.
Every quote is written and line-itemed: parts, labor, demolition, disposal, and concrete. You’ll see the exact Jerith series or aftermarket brand we’re quoting, the post depth and footing diameter, and the hardware spec. The price does not change after the work starts unless you ask for something different. The work is covered by our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if something we installed fails within a year of completion, we fix it at no cost to you.
For context, other fence work we do in Torrance falls in similar ranges: vinyl fence installation runs $3,500 to $9,000, and aluminum fence installation runs $4,000 to $10,000. Jerith is aluminum, so those numbers track closely.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely check the obvious stuff: push on each post to find the loose ones, run a hose check on your sprinklers to see if overspray is hitting the fence line, and photograph any corrosion or damage. That helps us price the job accurately before we arrive. What we don’t recommend is digging out and resetting a post yourself. Jerith posts are set in concrete footings 18 to 24 inches deep, and pulling a broken post out of Torrance’s clay without damaging the surrounding panels takes the right tools and a lot of patience. If you hit a sprinkler line or a low-voltage wire while digging, the repair costs more than the fence post.
If you want us to look at it, call (424) 337-6939. We’ll come out, take measurements, and give you a written price for the whole job before anything gets ordered.
FAQs

A properly installed Jerith fence should last 20 to 30 years in Torrance’s climate, but posts set too shallow or exposed to constant sprinkler overspray can fail in as little as 8 to 10 years. The panels themselves rarely fail; it’s almost always the posts and hardware. Call (424) 337-6939 and we’ll inspect your fence line and tell you exactly what you’re working with.
Sometimes. If the post is straight and the footing is intact, we can pull the post, deepen the hole, and reset it in a new concrete collar. If the post itself is corroded through, it has to be replaced. We’ll tell you which one you have before any money changes hands.
A typical 100-foot run with one gate takes two to three working days from demo to final hardware adjustment. Larger jobs with multiple gates or concrete work add a day or two. You’ll get a written schedule with the estimate, and the price doesn’t change if the weather pushes the timeline a few days.
We stock common Jerith-compatible posts, rail brackets, gate hinges, and caps on our trucks, so most repairs don’t wait on a parts order. For full panel runs in a specific series or color, we order from our supplier and usually have the material within a week. Either way, you’ll see the parts list and cost in the written quote before we start. Call (424) 337-6939 for a free estimate.
One more thing from Isaac Pruett: “You should know what’s happening in your home before anyone starts work – that’s just the job.” That’s how we run fence installations in Torrance, and how we run everything else. Call (424) 337-6939 and we’ll walk the fence line with you, show you exactly what failed, and hand you a written price for the fix. No pressure, no surprises.
